Примечания

Recorded between June and November 1998, Paquetecuetes was Malacates' first album. Produced by Alvaro Rodriguez (Bohemia Suburbana) it was the compilation of the first works made from the first rehearsal (February 7, 1997) to “40R” (the last song composed in August 1998). Recorded at GRABADISC by Guido Machado (engineer of the band Niche) the Malacates wanted to record all the songs they had created in all those Saturdays of rehearsals. Before this first album, they recorded a demo of 7 songs, from which the only song that saw the light of day was “Ni un centavo (rockola version)”. The album “Paquetecuetes” was presented to the public in the “La Cúpula” Theater in Zone 9 of Guatemala, to this presentation some friends, media and family came, that was in July 1999. The album crossed borders and at a time when the internet was limited, many people shared the songs in CD and Cassette format, giving way to a refreshing ska style combined with rock and pop, opening its own space, consolidating these first songs as the foundation of “Sonido Malacates”.
