Slippery When Wet

Fourth variation of the first issue, pressed in 1987, featured a "Plus Gold" design on the white obi, on top, just under the blue Mercury logo. Printed in 1987 (the earliest/true first edition was printed during the first few months of 1986, with the blue/yellow obi which was changed to the white obi by late 1986/early 1987, and finally, to this (fourth) variation in 1987. Of note to collectors, this is the most common variation of the 32PD-148 edition found in Japan today. Notice to audiophiles and Discogs database purists: while the first issue (32PD-148) is commonly (and correctly) regarded as being pressed in Japan in 1986, this fourth and final variation with the "Plus Gold" obi design, was not printed in Japan until 1987, thus the release year for this variation is correct in being 1987.
