Paradigm 001

These two tracks are from the Eleanor McEvoy album Yola, both the Multitracks and the Stereo Masters are analogue recordings and they were recorded in Dublin in Ireland and mixed at Metropolis by Ruadhri Cushnan. They were then Mastered at Metropolis Mastering by lan Cooper using PMC BB5 XBD Active Monitors, to be released on CD and ultimately SA-CD. This has been cut from the same audio source from which the SA-CD Master was produced and has been cut by Miles Showell using the Metropolis Paradigm Half Speed Cutting Process to give an incredible stereo image, great accuracy in the bass frequencies and extremely clear top end. It has been cut at 45 pm at an optimum level to give the best results that vinyl can produce in terms of signal to noise ratio and extended frequency range; it has been pressed on 180 gram highest quality vinyl using a stamper produced as a 'single process' - where the only stamper is grown directly from the lacquer giving the most noise free pressings (rather than the conventional Master, Mother, and Stamper sequence). This produces a higher quality stamper, but one which is unfortunately less robust and so it is worn out by pressing 100 copies, as after that the pressings will become noisier - hence this release is limited to one hundred numbered pressings. It has only been possibly to produce this release through the kind cooperation of Eleanor McEvoy and her manager Mick O'Gorman and Moscodisc; the pressings have been produced with the expert assistance of Record Industry in Haarlem in the Netherlands.
