Guitar Solos

1 - 8 recorded in 1974 at Kaleidophon Studios London with David Vorhaus engineering. All the pieces were improvised, some completely and some to a roughly preconceived idea. No overdubs were used; the music is heard at is was played except for "No Birds", which was made in two parts, and "Not Forgotten", from which we removed two notes. The only sounds not produced 'naturally' by guitar or prepared guitar are those of the fuzz-box used on tracks 4, 7 and 8, and echo delay used on track 8. The extraneous noises heard on "Heat c/w Moment" are those made by my breath and feet while I was playing. The middle part of "No Birds" was played on two guitars simultaneously. [Originally released as [r=654940].] 9 and 10 recorded at Newman's barge (Argonaut Studio) in 1976 and originally released as part of [m=521635]. 11, 12 and 13 recorded October 1978 at Briollay, France with the help of Jean-Paul Bossard and his Revox tape machine, "Song Of River Nights" was performed on one guitar by three people - thanks to Isabelle and Eude Bulard for cotton reel assistance.
