This recording came into being when Sydney Radio Station 2SM approached the various recording companies, who had the cream of Australia's artists under contract, with the idea of releasing an historical record of Australian hits, by Australian stars over the years from 1960-1970. This is a 2 disc set in one sleeve with each LP being released previously as single LP's with the exception of omitting Russell Morris 'The Real Thing' which was originally included on the first album.
