The 'Friend' mentioned in the title is actually Pharoah Sanders, who was still under contract to Arista Records who wouldn't let Theresa Records show either name or picture of Sanders on the cover in 1979. The sleeve does have a sticker with Pharoah mentioned on it and the CD version mentions his name directly.
