The First 30 Years

Officially released CDr album. From inlay notes;'Noel McMaster formed the Bakerloo Junction folk group in 1974 and its second member is Andrew Rowan.After winning a number of major talent competitions the band appeared in the Abercorn nightclub in Belfast.Performing in this venue gave them a springboard to the cabaret circuit.The band was approached by Emerald Records and made a number of successful albums.Their most remembered song is of course 'My Lagan Softly Flowing' which was penned by Noel and reached No.1 in the local charts.Noel is the lead vocalist and guitarist.Drew is a master on the silver flute and penny whistle.The band has had five members since it was formed.They include Michael Kerry(guitar/vocals),Aubrey Campbell(accordion) and Dianne French(keyboard).Noel and Drew can't believe that they have been on the road for such a long time.They say the group helps keep them young and they look forward to another thirty years.Well,maybe ten!'
