Примечания

Just Visitin' . There's been a misunderstanding. Whoever said a fine first-class Country singer like Ray Price couldn't knock out a great pop tune? Or a great folk tune like Danny Boy. WeII, they should have known better if they did. And this album proves it. Nossir, there's nothing this country boy can't do, and you better believe it. And basically it's the same sincere, no-foolin' feeling he brings to the great Country tunes he's made famous. (That Price sincerity could make "Cocktails for Two" sound homey.) There's just not that much that separates the town from the country anymore; times have changed. And anyway, wasn't Danny Boy from around here somewhere? Greensleeves, Across the Wide Missouri these all came out of country-feeling, written to be sung in the clean open air. Where a city fella might have trouble going out to the country and making himself understood, Ray shows it's no problem for a natural type country boy. He can go anywhere, sing anything, and it comes across the same. Songs like Spanish Eyes, Crazy, Pretend and Vaya con Dios are as natural to him as stretchin' out his legs. But if he "goes to town" as them city fellas say it's with the song. His heart is still in the country, cause he likes it that way.
