(printed at the bottom of the rear inlay and on the disc media label) The booklet credits the instrument played on track 4 as the 'swalin' which should be spelled swarlin. A search on the Internet returned the following information on this instrument: 'The swarlin is a rare [Indian] instrument which is similar to the violin with some major differences: the neck is broader and the bottom portion of the violin is very slim [and consists of] a sitar gourd. Also, it has tarab (sympathetic) strings, which are tuned according to the raga. So it gives a very distinct sound, neither like the sarangi nor the violin.' The credits list an instrument played by Chandru Shekar on track 10 as the 'karnatic violin'. The common spelling of this is carnatic violin. Carnatic is a style of playing the violin and not an actual instrument. The booklet lists on tracks 1, 2, 3, 7 & 10 a credit for 'violins, viola, cello' without naming the performer/s. The samples used in tracks 1, 4 & 9 are credited as 'courtesy of BBC World Service.' Track 5 has a credit for 'Ocean sounds - BBC sound effects.' Track 10 lists 'Indian crowd sample'. Tracks 11 & 12 have the following credit: 'Introductory sample from NBC programme "The world as I see it' featuring Edward K Murrow (sic) reading J Robert Oppenheimers (sic) poem "Now I'm become death" licensed courtesy of NBC studios.' The booklet credits the song writers twice once with their full first name and surname and again using their first initial and surname except on track 9 which only lists Devinder Vikyat Singh as 'D. Singh'. I have credited with full names where available. The duration timings listed on the rear inlay are inaccurate.
