Sparks Demos (Very Rough, Late 90's)

Free downloads at Soundcloud [info derived from a now defunct BRM fansite:] The tracks were recorded in 1996 for the greatest hits/tribute album project by Sparks, due for release in mid-1996. Due to budget reasons and Sparks changing labels (from Logic/BMG to Virgin) no recordings beyond the demos were made. Before the project was shelved, Billie supported Sparks on tour (at least on two gigs) and performed "Hear No Evil..." with the group. The greatest hits/tribute album project evolved into "[m=87082]", released in November 1997, a compilation album of past hits, some reinterpreted, some featuring new vocalists, with a couple of new tracks. The version included of "[url=http://www.discogs.com/master/68779]This Town..[/url]" featured Faith No More. There were plans to extend the album to double CD (including Billie's tracks) after the first single, but the initial album didn't do well and the plan was scrapped. Apparently many other tracks with other featured artists were also prepared or planned. Tracks were originally streamed online at official BRM website in 2001.
