These are all clean Radio versions. No cussing at all. But, the gunshot samples are not edited out LOL. Unlike most record labels that would bleep out cusswords from the original masters, the Rap-A-Lot camp had their rappers go back into the studio and re-record their verses. So with that said, this is a refreshing and special 12" to own, because Scarface has literally re-written the songs to remove the usual cusswords. Once in a while, he will just not say the cussword and simply pause for a split second ; whereas other times, he will just say "shhh" instead of "shit" lol. Outside of the cusswords, the lyrics aren't exactly the same like on the album (it's like 98% the same). For example, in Diary of a Madman he spits: "He says i'm delirious, and I drink too much THEREFORE he doesn't take me serious". Album version does not have the word "therefore". Yes, i'm a Scarface geek! Also, plz note that his tone of voice is slightly different than on the album verses, as if they did a quick studio session (to record these clean versions) and didnt bother with re-takes. Thus, may I say that he sounds a little less spitfire than on the album. Either way, it almost feels like you are getting a bonus here because all 3 songs sound a bit different in terms of his vocals. He also adds some typical Scarface giggles that are not on the album. And of course, the instrumentals to these blazing songs are amazing to own!
