Conspiracy

Original sleeve with first version of artwork, very few in existence, probably a total between 50 and 80. King Diamond did not like the artwork so the sleeve got rejected, and the illustrations was used for the inner sleeve in the ordinary pressings of the record. There was a few sleeves sold/auctioned by the danish fanclub, and a few handled out for promotion with the US pressing of the regular record inside (this release). The innersleeve has lyrics on one side and credits on the other. The backside of the sleeve has NR 355 followed by RR 9461-1 over distribution box There was also a radiocontest in the US called "Sleepless nights", and the 50 winners got a copy of this rejected sleeve with a UK Conspiracy picture disc inside. The counterfeit from Greece has the same black background artwork as the regular sleeve on the Roadrunner release and is easy to sort out. The brazilian made has the same light brown background artwork as the original, but the small details are more blurry. The sleeve is also made of a rougher paper type, that is visible on the surface of the inside of the sleeve, the color inside of the sleeve is also darker than the original. The inside of the original rejected sleeve should have the same paper quality and color as the regular Roadrunner sleeves made at the same time around 1989 (and the other Conspiracy pressings made in Europe 1989) A picture is added among the other images here of the insides of both the original rejected sleeve and the regular "Conspiracy" Roadrunner sleeve (Netherlands version) to compare.
