Track 3 derives from a larger, abandoned, project "Three Dreams Of Descartes", an oratorio in which the philosopher pits his rational self against various personal demons that come wrapped in different kinds of Time. Track 4 was written for [a=Henry Cow] (as "Erk Gah"), performed at concerts in 1976-77, but never recorded until now. Track 6 was written for real orchestra and later tapped into a computer & revised for midi instrumentation. Tracks 1, 3, 4 & 5 recorded and mixed Autumn 1993 at Wolf Studios, London. Piano on track 5 recorded at Premises Studio. Track 2 recorded live at Bottolph Clayden. Track 6 recorded direct to DAT from MIDI instruments.
