From the liner notes: "The 5 years leading up to the release of "End of Days," in the spring of 2000, were some of the most productive of my career. The material on this album, some of which is released here for the first time, reflect my intense interest in melodic and chordal ambient composition. I've included two new pieces for this album, one of which is a duet with Jeff Kowal called "Black Mountain Morning." Otherwise I play all instruments and do all the programming throughout."
