Recorded for a 1997 split 7" with the [a15444]. Sold on 1997 UK / European tour. Track 2-9: An instrumental recorded onto 8-track - taken from '[url=https://www.discogs.com/Various-Day-Dreaming-Bedroom-Ambience-2/master/32445]Bedroom Ambience 2[/url]' released by Enraptured Records. Track 2-10: Live recording from 1997 tour (taken from '[url=https://www.discogs.com/Various-Keep-Left-Vol-1-A-Benefit-For-David-Barsamian-Alternative-Radio/release/2570215]Keep Left Vol.1[/url]' compilation CD) Tracks 3-1 to 3-4: On-air performance. Track 3-5: Recorded in the summer of 1993 - live to cassette. This is an instrumental version with 2 or 3 guitars, 2 or 3 keyboards + a cymbal (the keyboards parts were later replaced with a guitar + bass). This song, along with Track 3-6 were at one time scheduled as a 7" single release. Track 3-6: Recorded live at the Meta Gallery in Costa Mesa, CA on 1997 tour. Tracks 3-7, 3-8: Early versions recorded onto a 16-track machine (only used 9 or 10 tracks). 'Lighthouse' is a faster version with a cleaner guitar sound than the version on '[m=9750]'. This recording of 'Whisper' is longer + with an extended vocal section. Track 3-9: An ambient keyboard piece recorded for a [url=https://www.discogs.com/After-The-Flood-After-The-Flood-2/release/876959]compilation CD[/url] in 1998. Everyone's songs were remixed a bit and electronics added by someone at the label. Sent in song as untitled but the label gave it the title of 'So Near, So Far' which just happened to come out at the same time as our song 'Near and Far' (from the spit CD with Amp). This is the original recorded version before the additives. Track 3-10: Taken from the 'Christmas Cassette' - recorded onto a 4-track with more acoustic guitars & bells than the 7" version, also a slightly different arrangement + more effects on the vocal. Track 3-11: An early vocal demo version of 'Universal Energy'. Some of the vocal demo was also mixed into the final version of the song. Other Notes: Edition of 1000
