To commemorate the 450th anniversary of John Dowland's birth, Deutsche Grammophon presents a special edition of Sting and Edin Karamazov's critically acclaimed album Songs From The Labyrinth, bringing together for the first time all of the audio recordings and video material in a single deluxe set. CD Tracks 3, 6, 9, 11, 15, 18, and 22 are tracks in which Sting reads passages (with minimal musical accompaniment) from a letter written by John Dowland in Nuremburg to Sir Robert Cecil on 10 November, 1595. Track 23 audio runs for 4:07, but the remaining 9 seconds are silent to separate the bonus tracks from the full album. CD Tracks 1 to 23 and 32 recorded at Steerpike Studios, Il Palagio, Italy. CD Tracks 24 to 31 were originally broadcast on BBC Radio 3, and were part of a live concert at St. Luke's Church in London, 2007. CD Tracks 28 and 31 are different than those found on [r=1966910]. The ones here were recorded as part of the St. Luke's Concerette.
