Drafts EP

Sound In Silence proudly welcomes to its roster Dalot & Sébastien Froment with their collaboration Drafts EP. Dalot is the music project of Greek artist Maria Papadomanolaki, currently based in London, UK. Being already known in the worldwide ambient, electronic and post-rock scene, she has released music on n5MD, Coorecords, Headphone Commute, A Strangely Isolated Place, Panospria, Radical Matters, This Is It Forever, Sound In Silence, Sun Sea Sky, Futuresequence and Hands Productions. Sébastien Froment, aka Dudu, was born in 1972 in France and has been in London, UK, for the last ten years, collaborating with many artists and recording as member of Manflu, Cloudcub, Diskoboy, One More Grain and Kat Vipers. Dalot & Sébastien Froment have collaborated again in the past, as they were both members of the band Cloudcub, along with Thomas Ntinas, who has done the recording and the mastering of Drafts EP. Drafts EP was recorded in the space of one day at Alchemea studios in London, UK. Using only one instrument, one effect unit, one take and no multilayering or further editing, Dalot & Sébastien Froment recorded two individual experimentations with their instruments of choice and one together. The draft recordings featured in this release balance between ambient guitar textures and experimental fusions on fretless bass and cello. Drafts EP offers a sum of organic, intuitive and at times contrasting atmospheres between two artists from different creative backgrounds. This is a limited edition of 24 handmade and hand-numbered collectible copies, packaged in a lovely hand-stamped white recycled cardboard envelope with a unique front cover image printed on a polaroid style photo paper and a transparent paper insert. Each copy also comes with its unique hand drawn artwork, signed and numbered by Dalot.
