The Magic Of Kubelka (Freetape Mask Replicator)

recorded on Aug 15, 1998 in the Kubelka rehearsal space and at SAW Gallery/mixed at brian damage's/Kubelka: darren peacock/andrew johnston/alex moskos/joel taylor/brian damage/sean hanrahan to be noted is the fact that Kubelka never really improvised purely on stage. All our music comes from improvising, our sole writing method. In rehearsal no one was watching, but live we feared the consequences of abandoning the script. We have always had an interest in improvised music, most recently while watching [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/646629-Beautifuzz]beautifuzz[/url], who go it free. So with new additions; brian damage from [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/89239-Phÿcus]Phycus[/url] on moog, Andrew Johnston from [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/3701440-The-No-Shirts]the No Shirt[/url] MF's on guitars and keys and Sean Hanrahan from the Forensics on guitar we let the music be spontaneous, created on the spot, without our usual filtering and organizing... like [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/224506-Ornette-Coleman]Ornette[/url] and then, I suppose, a whole history of musicians. More fun than usual and not a real crowd pleaser...
