All offers of money, food and drugs to: Not from there The Lord Palmerson,70 Harlington Road, London SW8. NOTES FROM HEINZ REIGLER (archived from www.notfromthere.net): Well, what can i say about this one, I’ll just try and keep it short. Here’s some of the nerdy details. Recorded in november 1991this is the essential debut release. Among its seven songs it features the long forgotten second guitarist, (what’s his name again?) who seemed to be remarkably busy littering the aural soundscape of this particular recording with an unprecedented amount of extended lead guitar action. Them licks sure were amazing, man...... Conned was recorded in roughly one week, on an 8-track reel to reel machine at Trinity studios, somewhere in north London, can’t seem to remember where exactly. A good friend of ours by the name of Mark Smith was in charge of production matters. Trinity was a loose kinda venture between some London friends and myself, with everyone involved owning some studio equipment, we decided to put it into one big room. There were grand plans to run the place professionally at some later date and develop the label with it. This did eventually happen, though I had by then left London and wasn’t involved any more. doh !! I did visit them geezers sometime in 95’, they had gotten involved in the whole jungle craze and were doing rather well with their label and various enterprises. Check out some of their releases. The label is called Sound of the underground (S.O.U.R.), one of the releases was an artist by the name of Tpower which was some fucked up ambient jungle stuff, probably only available on import to Australia. Anyway, Conned was released on vinyl and cassette in January 92’. The artwork features a photograph taken of the television set and depicts a scene from the miners strike riots out of the eighties. It was meant to be colour, but somewhat dubiously ended up being black and white. Another fuck up, I guess. Anyway kids, let me assure you, Conned is a pretty darn awful record. I’ve got about 250 vinyl copies stashed under my parents house in Austria and you don’t have the money to get one out of me... Never shall anyone be subjected to it. Sorry....
