Heart Blood Ballads

I had the pleasure to cooperate with United Blues Experience in several shows. Every time I was impressed by the outstanding feedback from the audience. Their music stirred my enthusiasm, too, so I am looking forward to future common shows. Blues is the most important kind of music in my life. With the blues Afro Americans created a musical elixir for the feeling of "Blues" - an expression of discrimination and personal pain based on the experience that black Americans made particularly in Afro American ghettos. Willie Dixon says: "The blues cures the blues" and John Lee Hooker together with Carlos Santana released a record named "The Healer", which means the blues is the elixir. Muddy Waters said: "The blues got a baby and they named it rock 'n' roll." The United Blues Experience continues this tradition of blues in European terms: with Wolfgang Bernreuther's compositions and his excellent guitar, with Rudi Bayer's double bass and with the Polish singer and harmonica player Beata Kossowska who. like a blues angel, came down to us from the Polish blues heaven. I am also happy about the cooperation of United Blues Experience with my son Andreas Rau and about his lyrics on the new album. I will surely recommend this new album "Heart Blood Ballads" to all those who are close to my heart. My personal thanks go to all the artists who contributed to the album "Heart Blood Ballads".
