Wild World

In 1987, Jonathan King accused the [a7552] of plagiarizing the melody from [a37606]’ “Wild World” in their song [m=32477]. To prove his point, he released this cover, with music imitating “It’s a Sin” but with modified lyrics from “Wild World”. The sleeve also is a parody of PSB’s [m=27976] album cover. The Pet Shop Boys successfully sued King for defamation and donated the results to charity. The B-side song was also the subject of a historic plagiarism lawsuit, when [a243955] was sued by the estate of [a295283] for similarities between "He's So Fine" and Harrison's "My Sweet Lord".
