Parallel Dimension Transmission

"I recorded this release while taking part in a artist residency at Project Ability in Glasgow. The piece was recorded in the stairwell of the building over the course of four weeks. All sounds were created by "playing" the handrails, radiators and doors as percussion instruments. These recordings were then sculpted and manipulated. The concept of this piece was to uncover hidden elements of a little used space in a building to imagine this as communication from the building itself through the form of sound. This recording was included in a group exhibition together with 3 of my drawings at the Project Ability gallery. The cover for the release features a detail of one of my drawings." Lea Cummings
