Each track on the two and a half hour collection feels like an album within itself: disparate sounds and phrases are layered on each other - looped, distorted, cutting in and out - creating what may first seem to be mere cacophony. Giving this release your full attention may even drive you mad, as you struggle to approach it rationally. However, these off-kilter soundscapes really sink in their teeth when the listener's mind begins to glaze over, at that threshold between divided attention and complete ignorance, because it is in the strange, irrational corners of the brain where CEDE's bizarre rhythms and expressions flourish.
