CD was distributed through band's "Lovers Unite" fan club and features unreleased recordings from 1994-1999 period. Below are abbreviated track summaries from liner notes: The Clothes Show (1996) - Commissioned track for BBC Clothes Show program (unfortunately used for Wild About Wool segment) Suburban Autumn Lieutenant (1995) - Backing track for [a18700] which became Baisers Français on the [m67555] EP with added English lyric. Jaydip Pharmacy (1997) - "First written for Good Humor, then considered for inclusion on the Misadventures Of Margaret soundtrack, then cast to the wind..." Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) - "About 500 people were asked to write a song for the James Bond film... Apologies for the cassette quality, but the master tape was nicked by Piers Brosnan who claims it is seven times better than Sheryl Crow" Nazi Jaloux (1995) - "A somewhat trippy instrumental which evokes the atmosphere of a Tunisian harem at the height of the North Africa campaign..." Please (1997) - "Specially written for the pool hall death scene in Mojo, a British gangster film set in the 50's..." Keep Nothing (1994) - "Track written as potential B-side for one of the singles off the Tiger Bay album... In retrospect it could have fitted neatly on Continental" Russian (1995) - "Another number that was mooted for Good Humor..." Blofeld Buildings (1999) - "A joint effort with To Rococo Rot recorded in Berlin, it's basically their song with our melody and lyric swooping over the top..." Ken (1999) - "Back in 1984 when Bob and Pete were just starry-eyed schoolboys, they concocted a "tribute" to the Greater London Council with an old electro backing track and a few samples of GLC leader Ken 'Seagull' Livingstone. Cleverly recreating this hamfisted dirge, here's the 1999 version on the eve of the GLC's, and Ken's, return..." [Original version eventually surfaced in 2015: [r=7784595].] Are We Gonna Be Alright (1998) - "This Matthew Sweet/Springfields song wowed everyone on our '98 tours so we recorded it at the end of that year as a B-side for 52 Pilot. The intention was for it to sound like The Raspberries but it didn't so we shelved it..." Andrew McCarthy (aka Hill Street Connection) (1996) - "...Our tribute to the St Elmo's Fire star never quite worked it - this is the demo which sounds better to us than either the lost vocal version or the Sylvie B-side. The original lyric was a haunting tribute the the originator of the 'eye' method." We're In The City (1999) - "Recorded live at Mylos Open Air, Thessalonika..." The Clothes Show (Sad Refrain) (1997) - "The bit where you discover moths have been holidaying in your winter wardrobe." [This track actually consists of two versions of The Clothes Show: 14.1 (0:36) / 14.2 (silence - 0:31) / 14.3 (0:35); the second version being a dub-heavy mix.]
