Reissue of ROUNDER 11661-1888-2. This release contains the same audio content as ROUNDER 11661-1888-2, but is packaged in a more compact rectangular box (as opposed to the original piano-shaped box). It also does not include the reprint of Alan Lomax's book of interviews with Morton, "Mister Jelly Roll," that was included with ROUNDER 11661-1888-2.
The discs are packaged in two separate digipaks that each hold four discs. The box set also includes an 80-page softcover book of liner notes.
In addition to the audio tracks listed in the tracklist, disc 8 includes a PDF document that contains a complete transcription of all the recorded dialogue and lyrics, and expanded liner notes.
