Recorded around 1960. This CD version was likely released in the early 1990s, possible 1993, though the date is not present on the release itself. Front insert features description of each of the five traditional instruments and methods of playing them, as well as descriptions of the individual songs' meanings and details about how they are played. Eleven exquisitely beautiful traditional pieces for solo and small ensemble, dating from the eighth to the twentieth century, masterfully performed by Professor Liang Tsai-Ping and his group.
