Funky Beats 84’

This vinyl is a slice of HipHop history. It marks the beginning of 45 King's career as this is his very first record. It is safe to say that it is also the first beat record by a HipHop producer. D. J. Mark (as he called himself in the mid 80ies) pressed up a few copies and gave them away for promotional use. Kool DJ Red Alert reportedly played it on the radio. The A side has a drum machine jam with replayed "Do The Funky Penguin" synth bassline. The B side wins again here with a super funky solo drumtrack. Mark stated that it was lifted from the multitrack of a song that his father recorded. About 100 copies were pressed plus a few white labels.
