Mono. The recordings were made in early 1976. Cover lists tracks as follows: "Inc. Very Friendly, Scars Of E, Slugbait, We Hate You, Dead Ed". Originally released to friends in 1976 as [r=16263574] and again in 1978 as [r=16142255], it was more widely available in 1979 as [r=10317404], as well as part of the [r=1352072] boxed set in 1980 from Industrial Records. From that cassette, another re-issue was done by an unknown group calling themselves "V.A.T.". These re-issues are dubs from the Industrial Records cassettes and do not sound as good as the originals. They are probably unofficial and the country of origin is unknown. The V.A.T. re-issues came out in the spring of 1990 (possibly earlier) and started out as a series of cassettes that started with this one and then continued with duplicates of IRC1 ([r=10317404]) through IRC11 ([r=10315859]). Additional IRC cassettes were later re-issued by V.A.T. as well. V.A.T. re-issues can be identified by "this is a V.A.T. re-release" being printed in the lower right of the B side labels. Although exact numbers aren't known for the V.A.T. releases, there are probably far more of those than the original handmade versions. While the cassettes were later re-mastered and re-issued on CD, most notably as [r=347719], [r=234047], and [r=233665], the original Industrial versions of the cassettes are sometimes sought after because they include material that was cut from the re-mastered CDs, either due to length or copyright concerns. These can include conversations between Cosey Fanni Tutti and Monte Cazazza, TG remixing Bing Crosby singing White Christmas, or arguments between The Slits and TG after The Slits tried to sabotage one of their shows, and more. This is the V.A.T. re-issue version of "Best of....Volume II".
