The Manor Sessions

From rear tray liner: "Following the success of the "Love" album The Cult recorded 12 tracks at the Manor Studio in Oxfordshire during the summer of 1986 for their projected third album. On completion, the group felt the recordings did not reflect the hard edge of their music and wanted a cleaner sound. Consequently they enlisted producer Rick Rubin and re-recorded the album in America which was released as "Electric". Four songs from the original sessions were issued as 'B' sides on singles from "Electric" but until now the others have remained unheard. This C.D. release presents five more tracks from the Manor Sessions." ℗ & © 1988 BEGGARS BANQUET MADE IN ENGLAND Cat # is printed on face of picture disc, as well as MADE IN ENGLAND Sold in standard jewel case with blue tray. Insert card printed on translucent plastic or possibly is rice paper. Sold individually, as the first CD in the BBP Series, but was never included as part of the later [r=928926] box set, which however did have space in it to store this release in, as well as [r368682] & [r368681], thus making the 7xCD box set a more "complete", 10xCD set of all of The Cult EPs in the BBP Series. The 7xCD box set was the only item to include the cardboard spacer/filler which had the spines of the first three EPs duplicated on it.
