By manually crafting patterns in Ableton —in the spirit of the Elektron Octatrack sampler— and exploring the near-infinite possibilities of sound randomization through LFOs and Max for Live devices like Grids for example, the artist develops a distinctive rhythmic language. It is an album that places its focus primarily on kicks and percussive structures...and creating sub-bass surfaces that are instantly recognizable through headphones, adding a physical yet intimate dimension to the listening experience, while still weaving in melodic elements reminiscent of late-’90s and early-2000s IDM. The result is a work that balances raw rhythmic drive with subtle harmonic detail, evoking both physical intensity and introspective depth.
