Rooted In Ancestral Memory

WLVS is a raw and atmospheric black metal project forged for the feature film WOLVES by director Jonas Ulrich. Formed in spring 2023 during preproduction of the film, the band emerged as a supergroup of sorts: three Swiss musicians, including members of UNGFELL and MEGATON WORD, joined by Polish actor Bartosz Bielenia on vocals. During the shoot, WLVS performed a select run of live shows in front of real audiences, among them opening for Belgian post-metal titans AMENRA. In April 2024, the band recorded a full studio album - drawing from 90s Scandinavian darkness while carving out a modern sound of its own, with songs written by Manuel Gagneux (ZEAL & ARDOR).
