Label variation. Originally issued Feb 1967. Final variation of the Orange "Top" Stereo label. Identifiable by the italicised font in the track-lists, credits, speed and matrix numbers. According to beatlesaustralia website, the same color and italicized font of this label WITHOUT "stereo" was first issued in 1979. The copy that's pictured here WITH "stereo" was purchased new in the US May 1979. This appears to be a transitional pressing with older labels that includes "stereo". For Beatles audio enthusiasts and collectors: While this album, along with Vol 1, were conceived in early 1966, it is unique in that it contains the 1965 stereo mixes of I Want To Hold Your Hand, Day Tripper and We Can Work It Out rather than the new mixes that were created by EMI UK in November 1966 for "A Collection Of Beatles Oldies". This was also the first album anywhere to include the stereo mix of She's A Woman.
