Released in a standard jewelbox with a 4 page booklet. Similar to [r2004331] but different barcode and not marketed by Virgin, this is EMI JAX 1994 repress. Recorded mainly and mixed entirely at The Hit Factory, New York between January 1978 and January 1979. Remixed to Sony digital stereo system at Marcus Studios, London. Tracks for T9, T15 recorded at Relight Studios, November 1977. Track for T16 recorded at The House Of Music, New Jersey, July 1977. All Frippertronics other than T16 recorded at the Fripp Mobile in the Lower East Side, Upper East Side, Hell's Kitchen and the West Village of New York between June 1977 and November 1978. Location recordings mainly at W. 51st and the West Village. ---- 1989 remastered, billed as "The Definitive Edition" (as were all of the 1989 Fripp/King Crimson remasters). Track 16, "Water Music II", is edited to 3:52 on this version; it was 6:24 on the 1985 CD version.
