Powięź

Ediion of 250 “Powięź” is the fifth studio album in POPSYSZE’s discography and their third release in the Zoharum catalog. It contains seven premiere tracks, expanding on a formula based on free experimentation with sound and structure in a way that brings out a personal, somewhat emotional, and at times quite surprising character. While composing subsequent tracks, the musicians eagerly explored genres rooted in the tradition of psychedelic electronica, in the spirit of krautrock drifting towards post-rock space, densely suspended in the air. Here and there, the trio’s fascination with Afro beat and desert blues subtly emerges, the latter resonating somewhat muffled and distorted from afar. A generous dose of electronics gives Popsysze a new dimension, intensifying what was previously only slightly accentuated. “Powięź” may not be another revolution, but rather the natural progression of a band constantly exploring.
