Nick Layton, lead guitarist and songwriter of the US Melodic Metal bands FireWölfe and Reign of Glory, has launched a brilliant new project under the name MOONLIT MASQUERADE: their debut full-length album will be released in May 2026. As a teaser, the 3-track EP "Wreckage" will be released in December 2025, featuring the title track with vocals by Savatage and Circle II Circle singer Zak Stevens. This intense track, recorded with the help of Savatage/Metal Church drummer Jeff Plate and MSG/Dokken bassist Barry Sparks, evokes memories of Savatage classics like 'Chance', 'The Wake of Magellan' or 'Edge of Thorns'. The title track, as well as the two songs 'Deceiver' and 'Show Me The Way' (featuring Narnia singer Christian Liljegren), are exclusive collector's items and are only available on the limited edition cardboard-sleeve CD, which can only be purchased via mailorder.
