Rubber Soul

Some Rubber Soul stereo issues were manufactured with a BLACK, or SILVER 'stereo' logo in the upper right corner of the front cover. These copies are much rarer than the standard copy without “STEREO" printed on the cover. Standard cover is this version: [r11753659] Black stereo text version is here: [r16114153] Silver stereo text version is here [r29784241] Other pressings also have a misprint for track A2 printed as 'Norweigian Wood' This release appears to be transitional. It was probably pressed in late 1969 from a -3/-3 matrices. The labels still have the inscription "Sold in UK...", although this has not been used since the summer of 1969. The cover was printed by Ernst J. Day & Co. Ltd. On the back side there are black dots printed on the artists' faces (this indicates printing matrix wear). The inner sleeve announces albums from 1969 to 1970.
