Gold foil textured cardboard box with black lettering, containing 12 original albums and 1 compilation. The gold foil version of the box was unique to Australia, and limited to 4000 copies. It was issued to celebrate that fact that the original blue box edition had sold sufficient copies to be awarded a 'Gold Record', but was pulled after the fragile foil was shown to be easily damaged. Following this the familiar blue box came back into use. The box contains the following 14 cassettes: Other countries issues had a double play "The Beatles" cassette, the Australian release has two individual cassettes with separate stock codes, hence this is listed as 14 cassettes not 13.
