In 2019, a box containing loosely scattered notes, Polaroids, a floppy disk and a record came into the hands of film and theater author Jan van Hasselt. The fragments apparently came from the composer Ernst Stäbli from Lower Saxony. For three years, van Hasselt pursued the cowering recluse, highly educated aggressor and electronics tinkerer. In vain - Stäbli's traces were lost in the 1990s. The documents reveal that Stäbli's demands on himself and the interpreters of his works were so high that he probably never intended to have any of them performed. Apart from the test pressing of a record, only a single graphic score survives today. It is unlikely that these finds are Stäbli's only works. It is more likely that he destroyed the rest. The publishing house nomen nominandum buch has published Ernst Stäbli's texts and photos as a book together with van Hasselt's research and various guest contributions. In combination with this, a replica of the test pressing is being published by Latenz.
