Bring Me The Head Of Ubu Roi was performed at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London's Southbank Centre, 24th and 25th April, 2008. This recording was from the second night and demonstrates the anarchic vulgarisms, the skill and craftsmanship - and the humor - of this unique show by the iconic band that is Pere Ubu. With Sarah Jane Morris as Mère Ubu to David Thomas' obscene Père Ubu, the show was as blatant as Jarry's original riot-inducing premiere, to the point that when an ambulance arrived to tend to an ailing member of the audience, people thought it was part of the show. ----------------------------- Limited physical edition of a Bandcamp release, released in two configurations - one with a softcover black-and-white book, and a second with a hardcover, color book, titled "Long Live Père Ubu! The Spectacle" and sub-titled "All Hail The Survival Of The Unfit.", credited to David Thomas (ISBN 978-1-6781-8761-3). Color hardcover is shown in pics. The book contains extensive, detailed and hilariously vivid notes on the stage production itself, including Choreography, as well as "Version 9.0" of David Thomas' "Bring Me The Head Of Ubu Roi" adaptation of the Alfred Jarry play "Ubu Roi."
