Sensible al código - Sonoridad latente

Los microsurcos en espiral de este vinilo inscriben el registro y la modulación de una serie de exploraciones sonoras realizadas con un poncho sensible al tacto: un patchwork de telas impresas en serigrafía con tinta conductiva de grafito y conectadas a través de un circuito electrónico. Este manto cuadrado, diseñado para utilizarse sobre el cuerpo, contiene una sonoridad latente, ansioso de que manos lo toquen para chillar, tal como este disco espera que una aguja recorra sus canales, leyendo las vibraciones que inscribe y transformándolas en energía que pueda conducirse, amplificarse y volverse audible a nuestros oídos, mientras gira. Las pistas en este vinilo corresponden a la edición final de los masters utilizados en el casete Sonoridad Latente, compuestos por una selección de los registros de los ensayos realizados en la sala de BYM Records, y de la presentación realizada en el Festival Soundtiago, por el trio integrado por Alvaro Daguer, Nicolás Godas y María Jesús Schultz, durante el verano del 2022. En estas nuevas composiciones, Alvaro Daguer y Nicolás Godas traslapan los registros para intensificar la sonoridad envolvente que modula los sonidos inestables del poncho sensible al tacto, las frecuencias ondulantes de los sintetizadores y los ritmos de un teclado camaleónico, para ofrecer a los sentidos la posibilidad de una selva sintética que organice –en forma codificada– la incertidumbre de un caos aparente. INGLES SENSITIVE TO CODE – LATENT SONORITY – SYNTHETIC RAINFOREST The spiral microgrooves on this vinyl record encapsulate the recording and modulation of a series of sound explorations conducted using a touch-sensitive sonorous poncho: a patchwork of fabrics screen-printed with conductive graphite ink and interconnected through an electronic circuit. This square mantle, designed to be worn on the body, holds a latent sonority, eagerly awaiting the touch of hands to elicit sound. Similarly, as this record anticipates a needle traversing its grooves, reading the vibrations etched within, it transforms them into energy that can be conducted, amplified, and rendered audible to our ears, all while it rotates. The tracks on this vinyl album correspond to the final versions of the masters employed in thet "Latent Sonority" cassette. This compilation is composed of a selection of recordings from rehearsals held at BYM Records studio and from the performance at Soundtiago Festival. The trio performing consists of Alvaro Daguer, Nicolás Godas, and María Jesús Schultz, and their collaboration took place during the summer of 2022. Within these new compositions, Alvaro Daguer and Nicolás Godas superimpose recordings to enhance the enveloping sound quality that modulates the unstable tones of the touch-sensitive sonorous poncho, the undulating frequencies produced by synthesizers, and the rhythms of a chameleonic keyboard.
