The Eminent, Volume One

Recorded on June 22, 1953 at WOR Studios, New York City. All transfers from the original analog tape to digital were made at 24-bit resolution. The original 12" LP issue of tracks #1-4 & 6 was Blue Note BLP 1505. The original 12" LP issue of tracks #5, 7 & 8 was BLP 1506; #1-6 originally issued on 10" LP 5028. There are occasional drop outs that are on the master tapes. Tracks #7 & 8 were taken from second-generation masters. These are mono recordings. Liner photographs © Mosaic Images. Because this CD does not conform in content to the original 12" LP, we have not included the original liner notes. The original LP mixed various sessions in incomplete form.
