Four CDs, over 110 tracks, essays, pictures and complete discography covering the years 1953-1978. Bonus business card and souvenir, "Member Harper Valley PTA" card and letter from Eddie Seals "on my musical history" - on facsimile stationary from "The Cut-Ups".
This project was compiled as a present to Eddie Ray Seals and family; friends and those who were related to those band members on this box set like Sam White.
It [was not made available] for sale, nor licensed for radio airplay or retail. The lion's share of the songs within are held by such labels as Universal Music and Geffen (Dot); Warners/Curb (Word); Sony (Hickory), Universal (Mercury) and Sun Records (Plantation). That doesn't cover publishing, or who owns the independent releases that Ray put out (likely, he does). The live recordings, from radio to Godfrey, another matter as well.
This is intended also as a historical archive for Texas Tech University as well, and once again I thank Curtis Peoples for invaluable input.
