Примечания

This CD is housed in a jewel case with a 12-page booklet, plus the packaging includes an OBI strip. Pages 1 to 7, plus 12 are the regular booklet, with pages 8 to 11 being the Japanese language portion. Tray artwork: "All titles © EG Records Ltd 1986 ℗ 1986 EG Records Ltd Produced by Robert Fripp and Tony Arnold for Editions EG" "MADE IN JAPAN BY VIRGIN JAPAN LTD. ℗ 1990 JASRAC". Tracks 1 & 2, plus 4 to 9 were recorded as part of two live performances at George Washington University in Washington D.C., USA on Saturday, December 14th and Sunday, December 15th 1985. The exceptions are: - Track 3 ('The Chords That Bind') was recorded in the Claymont Court mansion ballroom near Charles Town, West Virginia, USA on Monday, December 9th 1985. - Track 10 ('The New World') is 'Frippertronics' recorded live in concert with a solo overdubbed at Arny's Shack. - Track 11 ('Crafty March') is taken from the soundcheck at George Washington University on Sunday, December 15th 1985, with the audience response at the end of track 11 sourced from Sunday's actual public performance. Booklet inner: "This album is a result of a challenge presented to the students of Guitar Craft IX, one of an ongoing series of courses in Guitar Craft held at Claymont Court in West Virginia. The experience of guitar students who have been through the program varies between one day and 20 years. Some are beginners, some are guitar teachers themselves, some are semi-professional or professional players. The only real qualification for attendance is commitment... An important part of the courses is challenge. The students are given various challenges and opportunities to respond. Some of these challenges are obvious, like being presented with a live radio broadcast for Sunday 8th December 1985 from Charleston on the Thursday evening prior. Or having a 24 track mobile studio arrive outside the Claymont Mansion on the following Monday morning. The following Thursday evening the students were given the next challenge: three public performances at George Washington University in Washington that weekend. All the music on this album was recorded at those concerts, with the exceptions of 'The Chords That Bind' [3], recorded in the Mansion ballroom, and 'The New World' [10], Frippertronics recorded live in concert and with a solo overdubbed at Arny's Shack. The 'Crafty March' [11] is taken from the soundcheck on Sunday and the audience from Sunday's performance."
