Live Ft. Lauderdale, FL. 5/21/88, The Ed Morgan Tapes

This "unofficial" release by progressive/AOR band "3" featuring Keith Emerson, Carl Palmer, Robert Berry and touring guitarist Paul Keller is dedicated to the memory of Ed Morgan, who we lost in 2020. Those of us who had the pleasure to interact with Ed, his collecting passion for music, and "otter" quirkiness, are all grieving, but still smiling at the memories of his phone calls and hilarious social media posts. Ed was fortunate to work in the record industry and made fast friends with many in the business as well as artists. His friendship with Keith Emerson was his most cherished. They met at this "3" concert, Fort Lauderdale, 5/21/88 and it was often described by Ed as the show that changed his life. Guitarist Paul Keller (Yay Paul Keller Yay!) introduced Ed to the band and he not only was an instant fan, but also became a lifelong friend. Ed recorded the show on cassette and was always willing to share it with fans of the band and Keith Emerson. It features and extra encore of Honky Tonk Train Blues as this was the last show of the tour and unbeknownst at the time, the finale of the band "3." This recording, warts and all, was digitally remastered and edited for you personal enjoyment. Approximately 100 were produced and offered to fans of "3" on the Facebook band page with the blessing of Robert Berry. All profits from the sale of this CD were donated to three charities in Ed's name.
