War Cry!

Special limited edition lathe cut released for Jenny Don't and the Spurs' Auckland, New Zealand show at the Whammy Bar on November 1st, 2023. Limited to 15 hand-numbered copies, this disc has music on one side and signatures of the band in silver metallic ink on the other side. The covers are recycled 7" picture sleeves from old records, featuring a hand-cut stenciled logo spray-painted on the front and a sticker with a band photo and track info on the back. The discs were cut at Johnny Electric Lathe cuts in Christchurch, New Zealand. The song contained on the record, "War Cry!" is a cover of an instrumental surf song originally written and performed by the 1960's New Zealand band [a825053]. Recorded at Revolver Studios in Portland, Oregon by Collin Hegna. Trivia: The band photo on the back cover was taken on Baldwin Street in Dunedin, New Zealand. Baldwin Street has been officially recognized as the steepest street in the world. The photo was taken during the band's tour of New Zealand in October 2023. The stencil for the front cover was cut by bassist Kelly, and the spray painting was done by vocalist Jenny. The stencil cutting, spray painting, and cover assembly was all performed in the yard of the tour promoter in Auckland a couple of hours before the evening's show at which the records were sold.
