Sounds Of Recollection

For this release I decided to create vocal tracks to talk about the historic injustices perpetrated against single mothers (married and single) from the 1940's to the 1970's by the catholic church in Ireland through the Magdalene Homes. Women were used mostly for slave labour whilst their children were taken from them and placed in brutal orphanages adopted out with new identities or used as farm labourers. Many of these women and children didn't survive. Recorded in Thailand and Japan Produced by Paul Dengate (Australia).
