Romantic Views

Bantam Lions follows the experimental house of 2016’s ‘Short Stories’ with his first release for East Wall. ‘Romantic Views’ sees the producer adopt a modus operandi that is more lo-fi, stripped back and playfully spontaneous. Utilising the idiosyncrasies of the JVC KB700 keyboard Bantam creates an unfolding eclectic set of vignettes chock-full of serene, wistful electronic melodies, dubbed out ambience and sinister techno foreboding. These tracks inhabit a space somewhere between the lost futures of abandoned sci-fi netherworlds, virtual reality nostalgia and the uncanny hauntology of dystopian 1980s advertisements and instructional videos. All tracks produced 2016 on a JVC KB700 keyboard, Ibanez Analogue Delay pedal, Boss ME58 multi-fx and Reason for sequencing and addtiional processing.
