Basically, I've been recording my life in mostly musical terms for over 45 years now. As I am 62 years old, my life is more than half over and I don't really know what else to do. The circumstances as they have unfolded have made it possible for me to pursue my recording muse and take it wherever it leads me. It's led me here; a place where my brain is being scrambled and slowly eaten by it's fatal existential flaws trapped in a box of unanswered questions with serious doubts of why I am alive or if I am alive at all. If you've followed my catalog with any sort of diligence, you know the drill. I have my head up my ass and that's the gist of it. Who cares? Not sure. I'm just channeling this audio from a script I apparently have no control over. It is what it is. Perhaps some of the tracks here might even connect with your perspective in this life? Could be...or maybe not. If not, oh well. I suspect you will move on and not give this collection a second thought. Sad thought, but fine with me. So what's up with this collection? My addiction to musical montage / collage construction has been obvious going back to "Globinhell" found on "The Akai Years (1979-1984)" and continuing with 1997's "Scrapamingus", 1999's "Hits Duh Bah Tomb Lion", into the 2000's with "E-Phant" and "Flaxseed Beefalo/ Margret Inthrax Montage" to name a few. Like I stated on the CD “Late Octobra” this kind of soundscape / musical construction was originally influenced by The Beatles’ “Revolution #9” and Frank Zappa’s “Lumpy Gravy”. No surprise. I’ve always been aware there is a limited audience for this genre of audio landscape so I try to keep it to a minimum of one track every other CD. Usually the montage / collage gets designated to the last cut on the disc so those who hate this stuff can skip it. Well, this time I felt like going full force in this "avant-garde" totally self indulgent direction. Get it out of my system sort of speak (I doubt it). And thus, you have these convoluted pieces that have been festering in my mind for a while. There are many deliberate and synchronistic points of connected musical interest through out for those who follow the intricacies of my musical diary. A real feast for scholarly JT listeners, if there are any - ha! In the end, this CD amounts to nothing less than another audio distraction for those who need it. But you already knew that. DISTRACTIONS!
