Примечания

Liner notes: In the winter of 1981 a Lexington Kentucky band comprised of 18 to 21 year old’s were poised to be the next major label sensation from Kentucky following the rise of the Kentucky band Exile in the late 70’s. Armed with an influx of investment from MCA to seek out fresh acts in the New Wave / 80’s rock vein the famous duo of AJ Cervantes former Casablanca records alum and purveyor of many 70’s disco hits on his Butterfly Records label and Michael “Mick” Stewart former “Sweet” (Ballroom Blitz) guitar player and premier record producer in his own right formed CS International and wisked the band named the Strangerz off to Broken Prairie Studios in Champaign Illinois early in the summer of 81’ to begin recording what was to be their first international release . New to the world of international recording artists, fate would have it that the band would cross paths with established stardom when Adrian Belew, guitar player at one point for David Bowie, The Talking Heads and King Crimson among others filtered in with his solo group during the end of the Strangerz recording sessions that week to begin recording what was to be his first solo effort. Immediately the Strangerz were signed with an agency out of Nashville and went on the road. The groundswell of excitement had begun as news of their record deal was published on New Years eve 1981. The Strangerz continued to tour in anticipation of their release and were awaiting the next jump to opening for major acts in arenas across the country. Unfortunately, as it is often heard in the popular music industry the group became another casualty of the “business” itself. The group split into other groups and the release of this album was never realized until now. After the parting of the the individual members of the Strangerz the members that were able to come back together incorporated some of the original recordings from 1981 and recorded the other songs that they had written at that time to finally complete and release this album.
