Recorded January 31, 1992 (without editing/without overdubbing) at the Experimental Sound Studio, Chicago, Illinois. "The electro-acoustic sound palette is a wooden artist's palette with a variety of thin rods mounted vertically about its perimeter. Handheld, these rods may be bowed, plucked, or scraped; their sound amplified by a contact microphone and modified by various effects units. In this configuration, the sound palette also functions as a microphone for the amplification of sound sources placed near or on it (e.g., the vocal effects hear on this cassette).
